We pay great attention to honey in NICS bars. We buy it only from producers in areas without developed industry and conventional farming, i.e. hives, from which our honey comes are located near linden and acacia forests and away from fields with rapeseed and sunflower.
NICS will always be a product without artificial sugar.
Natural honey is one of the most valuable nutrients. It is composed mainly of fructose, glucose and water. Also it contains other sugars, enzymes, minerals, organic acids, vitamins and amino acids.
Most of honey composition include carbohydrates - about 80%. Of these, the prevailing are monosaccharides (fructose and glucose between 65-75%) as well as about 20 other disaccharides, trisaccharides and oligosaccharides, proteins and amino acids. Fructose and glucose contribute to the regulation of neural activity, expand blood vessels and improve metabolism.
In honey are contained biostimulants, i. e. substances, increasing life of the organism.
Honey contains eighteen free amino acids, of which most common are proline, lysine, histidine, arginine, threonine, aspartic acid, glutamic acid, glycine, methionine, isoleucine, leucine, tyrosine, tryptophan, phenylalanine and the like.
Minerals in largest amount are potassium, sodium, calcium, phosphorus, sulfur, magnesium, iron, copper. It includes small amounts of organic acids.
The main group of antioxidants in honey are flavonoids, one of which, pinocembrin is unique for honey and propolis.
